Sleeping Dogs v1.4 All No-DVD [Pandora] I had a problem with the Blackbox repack version, nothing happened after i executed hkship.exe, unless i used this Pandora fix over the one provided with the blackbox repack. Never had any issues (besides SLEEPING DOGS-HKShip.exe has. You'll be left with a big headache, broken hart and a Diseased Mind!).

Hi I am experiencing some problems with my 'Asus essentio desktop pc'. When I am browsing the internet using several tabs the mouse sometimes 'get stuck' for about 2-3 seconds and then the mouse symbol is starting to act strange.
This is like a prelude to my computer not responding at all. Not by mouse or by keyboard, no matter what combinations I try. Then I have no choice but to turn the computer off by using the On/Off button on the chassi. When I start it again, sometimes it´s working allright again, until the same procedure starts over. First the mouse acting strange, then it not responing at all. At other times, when I start it up again it tells me I have a problem with the driver for my network adapter.
But if I just pull the network adapter-plug out, then in again it works fine. Do I have a virus? I have tried reinstalling windows 7 again, but it doesn´t help. I would be VERY grateful for your help, because this is just killing me! Hi, This problem is both with mozilla firefox and with google chrome. Windows update is active. Other than that, no I haven´t searched for updates. What kind of updates do you mean?
My first thought when I read your post was 'lack of RAM', then I saw you have 8 Gb of the stuff. A few browser tabs open is not going to affect that! And since MBAM says you are clean, to a high degree of probability, you are clean. Have you considered a hardware problem of some sort? Your USB drivers and connections (assuming you are using a USB keyboard and mouse) seem the obvious suspects here. I would suggest you look in 'Device Manager' for any problem indicators - either '?' Start - Control panel - System - Device manager (in the top LH corner of the System screen) If you expand the line 'Universal Serial Bus Controllers' by clicking on the '+' sign at the side of it you will be able to see them individually.
If any of them are marked as having a problem you can safely delete the controller for it by selecting it and then clicking 'Action - uninstall' in the menu bar. This is a safe procedure as any controllers you delete will be re-installed the next time Windows starts. If you discover you have uninstalled the mouse and keyboard controllers while doing this you will have to resort once more to the power button to turn the computer off!
If this gets you no further forward, post back. Chris Cosgrove. The device manager does not say that I have a problem with anything. Only sometimes when this 'freezing' has ocurred and I have shut down with the power button: then it sometimes say that I have a problem with the driver for my usb network device. If I then pull the network adapter out and in again, the driver is working again. Maybe it helps to know my previous problem? (Before I reinstalled windows) The graphics driver used to suddenly crash without any reason, and i got the message something like this: 'Windows kernel mode driver has unexpectedly crashed and has recovered'.
This used to happen very often, and it did not stop until I had opened my pc and pulled the graphics card out of its slot, and the in again. The this specific problem stopped. I would guess that it had something to do with a bad connection, or dust in the slot or something? Note, it did not help that time to reinstall windows. The problem was still there until I took the graphics card out and in again.
Thank you for helping, I hope we will find the solution! You have AVG.and MSE.installed. You also have some McAfee app installed. A recipe for problems, please uninstall the McAfee and the AVG, for now. Then run chkdsk /r and see what problems remain over the next 24/48 hours. If you feel obligated to use the McAfee or the AVG apps, you'll then be able to do so. The problem with drivers.is (IMO) seldom that they are not the latest.
The problem is that the current ones are damaged and like most things damaged.they cannot perform properly. I would just uninstall the current nVidia drivers, using both Device Manager and Add/Remove Programs.then reinstall from the Drivers CD.
